Microdermabrasion

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion describes a treatment that uses a medical grade device to exfoliate at a deeper level than can be achieved with exfoliation preparations that are applied to the skin at home or in a spa.

At Live Younger, we use a diamond tip that is non invasive and very effective at removing the top dead skin layer, while safely revealing fresh skin underneath, revealing a brighter complexion.

It prevents build up of dead skin cells to keep your pores clean and prevent acne with regular treatments.

It renews skin tone and texture.

How does it work?

Microdermabrasion is an in-office procedure that usually takes about 30-45 minutes. At Live Younger, it is performed by highly experienced and well-trained skin care professionals. Your provider will use a handheld device to gently exfoliate away the outer layer of skin in the targeted areas. At the end of the treatment, anti-aging serums, potent antioxidants and hydrating serums, as well as sunscreen will be applied.

What to expect

There is no downtime after microdermabrasion. You should be able to resume your daily activities immediately. Keep your skin hydrated and use the recommended skin care products to protect and prolong the results of your treatment. Avoid using topical acne medications for at least one day after treatment. Protect your skin with sunscreen every day, especially after the treatment. Sun protection is a critical part of any skin cre routine, and especially after fresh skin is revealed by your treatment. Your skin can be more sensitive to the sun in the few weeks after the treatment. You can expect to see noticeable results immediately after the procedure. If you are interested in keeping your skin healthy and fresh, preventing fine lines and acne, and ensuring you look younger than you are, a regular skin health program will usually include a series of microdermabrasion’s spaced 3-4 weeks apart at least twice a year.
