Dr. Danielle Nielson, TCM
Dr. Danielle Neilson, TCM is a dedicated and compassionate practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), specializing in acupuncture. She first entered the field of Chinese Medicine in 2020 after adopting her first horse. Initially, she was drawn to becoming an equine chiropractor, but when she realized the program included a deep foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine for horses, she felt an undeniable pull toward the human side of TCM. With a passion for natural healing and helping people, she made the decision to pursue acupuncture instead.
Danielle is a graduate of the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a registered member of the College of Acupuncturists of Alberta and the Alberta Association of Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors. Her approach to healing is holistic, focusing on restoring balance, alleviating pain, and supporting overall well-being through natural and effective therapies. She is passionate about empowering her patients to take control of their health and embrace their body’s innate healing potential.
Women’s health, hormones, and fertility are areas of special interest for Danielle. She recognizes the need for natural solutions in this area, as many women struggle with limited options when it comes to cycle regulation, pain management, and fertility challenges. She works with patients to help restore balance, support IVF treatments, and even assist with labor induction.
In addition to internal health, Danielle also helps women feel and look their best through facial acupuncture. This natural approach stimulates collagen and elastin production, reduces fine lines, and promotes lymphatic drainage in the face and neck. Her facial acupuncture treatments go beyond skincare—they include constitutional acupuncture and body points, offering a full-body approach to anti-aging and vitality.
Alongside her acupuncture training, Danielle holds a health coaching certificate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training in India in 2017. She has always been drawn to natural healing methods and believes in the body’s innate ability to heal when given the right support.
With a warm and caring approach, Danielle is committed to making acupuncture accessible, bringing the community together, and helping her patients feel their absolute best—inside and out.
Outside of her practice, Danielle finds balance in her own life through movement, nature, and connection. She loves spending time with her horse, enjoying the peaceful bond they share. Whether hiking or walking with a friend, flowing through a hot yoga class, or relaxing in a cozy café with a good book, she embraces moments that nourish both body and mind. She also deeply values time with her family, cherishing moments of laughter, support, and togetherness. She believes that wellness is a lifestyle, and she brings this philosophy into both her personal life and her work with patients.
